From May 19 to 21, Butler VA hosted the 16th Annual VA 2K Walk and Roll Event. Staff, Veterans, volunteers, family members, caregivers, and community partners attended to promote healthy lifestyles and to generate donations of essential items for the Homeless Veterans Program. This year, total donations amounted to $14,104.27, representing the second highest total to date, with 149 participants in attendance. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Whole Health team and planning committee for organizing a successful event, and to all who supported this important initiative.

On Saturday May 30, we held our 3rd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day event—and it was a tremendous success. Despite a bit of wind, the weather was beautiful, and the day brought our community together in a meaningful way. We welcomed approximately 348 attendees, including 190 Veterans. Thank you to Butler VA's Veterans Appreciation Day planning team and all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication in bringing this event to life. A special thank you goes to: the Elks, Knights of Columbus, DAV, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), American Legion and Auxiliary and the Butler High School Football Team, who generously offered their time and energy, assisting wherever needed and taking the opportunity to connect with our Veterans. Their presence added greatly to the spirit of the event. But most of all, thank you Veterans and your families for your service to this great country. We are honored, proud, and privileged to be your health care provider of choice.
