BLT History

Although there are programs dating back to 1921, the Butler Little Theatre received its official charter in June 1941 with performances at The Lees Restaurant (tickets were 50 cents!), the Butler High School, and the Sterling Club. As our cast of eccentric artists, reluctant guests, and oversized personalities create delightful disorder onstage, Stage Manager Glen Bittner is the one keeping everything perfectly organized behind the scenes.

From rehearsals to performances, helps coordinate every nuance and moment that allows the rest of us to look far more competent than we probably are. A production like Hay Fever may appear effortlessly chaotic, but trust us β€” that only happens because someone is making sure it all happens at exactly the right time.

Thank you, Glen, for helping keep the Bliss family blissfully (and safely) out of control. Don't miss your chance to see the comedy unfold. Hay Fever closes soon!

Today, we're tipping our hats to Production Assistant, Myers, who has spent the rehearsal process helping keep Hay Fever running smoothly behind the scenes.

You may be used to seeing Cole under the spotlight, but for this production he's traded witty dialogue and dramatic entrances for rehearsal notes, backstage support, and countless little tasks that help bring the Bliss family's weekend of mayhem to life.

The audience gets the comedy. We get to see the work that makes it happen. Thank you, Cole!

Now all that's left is your chance to see the chaos unfold. 🎟 Hay Fever continues until June 6! Get your tickets at our website.

One is perfectly at home in the chaos…
The other walked straight into it.

Andrew Miller (David Bliss) β€” unbothered, tea in hand, as the world unravels around him.

Megan Flannery (Myra Arundel) β€” poised, perceptive, and quickly realizing this weekend was a mistake.
