What a beautiful Fall we have had so far this year! Here's an overhead view of our Burnsville location from one of those gorgeous Fall days.

While we are still scheduling service and installations for "essential services", out of an abundance of caution, we are pushing back non-essential service work until at least May. We do have a drop off and pick up table located in the front entrance of each shop. Please leave repairs there with notes as to the radio's issue. You can, of course, mail in your repairs.

We are shipping out all repairs, new parts and equipment, unless absolutely necessary. If you need to pick up at the shop, please call ahead, or leave that information when you drop off your repairs, and we will place the items to pick up in the entryway.

Our sales staff are still working diligently from home, so please call or email them to place orders.

These are unique times. We will get through this together. Sooner, if we limit our contact with the public and follow CDC recommendations and the Governor's orders regarding COVID-19 protocol and safety.

Job Description
Ancom Technical Center is looking for experienced radio/system technicians for in field service.
This is not a boring bench position—it is a field service position with varied situations. At one time you may be working on a repeater system used in farming operations then to a digital repeater associated with our Wide Area Dispatch radio system then to --- then to --- then to. The point here is that your day is not a cookie cutter operation. We service farm operations, manufacturing operations, Public Safety systems, simulcast fire paging systems, hospital systems, BDA/DAS systems and the list goes on and on. You would be working for our customers out of both our Burnsville and Rochester locations.
Our service group is recognized as a Motorola Service Elite Specialist, the highest level of Motorola service. ATC is a locally owned, well established and growing 20-year old business and is highly regarded as a premier leader in the communication industry throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum two-year degree in the electronics field or comparable RF or computer related job experience. Military radio or computer training/experience a plus. Additional experience in large installation projects, repair and maintenance of base systems, repeaters, trunked radio systems, dispatch consoles, remotes, paging infrastructure, digital, VoIP systems and antenna systems. Knowledge of DOS and Microsoft Windows is required to program, troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on communications equipment and systems also a plus.
Service technicians are provided with a take home company vehicle and test equipment. Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required and must be able to pass State and Federal background checks. Random drug testing is required.
