Netflix Says ‘Squid Game’ Is Its Biggest Series Launch Ever Netflix Inc. said South Korean show “Squid Game” has become its biggest series launch ever, beating high-profile American productions, as the dystopian drama becomes an unexpected global sensation.

On Tuesday morning, the nominations for the 73rd Emmy Awards were announced.

The Crown and The Mandalorian led the way with 24 nominations each, with WandaVision, Ted Lasso, and The Handmaid's Tale also coming in strong. And not to be forgotten, just a week after not being renewed for a second season by HBO, Lovecraft Country scared up 18 total nominations.

This year's ceremony will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and will allow for a limited live audience of nominees and their guests.
