PDR
Paintless dent repair is a specialty at our shop. PDR as it is called, has been around for years and is very effective on small dents. Small dents the size of a quarter or smaller. These dents are removed without painting or destroying the paint surface. Since the early 90’s PDR has been used to remove hail dents and small door dings. Since that time the industry has progressed to removing larger dents with some success. People want there vehicles to emerge dent and spot free. This does not happen all the time. There are several factors that determine whether any dent can be removed by PDR. Here are several:
Size of dent:
What panel on the vehicle has the dent
The location of dent on the panel
Age of paint
Has the panel had bondo applied to it
Has the panel been recently painted
Body lines
And last of all is there obstruction that prohibits
access to the dent.
