Ryan Luce has a love for music that grew out of warm Buffalo days, watching his dad mowing the lawn while listening to local oldies and country stations. Hiding himself away in the bathroom of his parents' home, he would record mini albums on his cellphone. Eventually, he realized he needed to get on a stage, and at 27 performed live for the first time at the Buffalo venue the Waiting Room. In 201

Journey: that’s the word to encapsulate my year. From a physical and mental standpoint I was at my lowest to start 2025. Our dog passed away and work stress just ate away at me but something magical happened: I just started making decisions to turn the ship around. I joined a gym, we fostered our first dog Thelma from the I surprised my mom for her 75th birthday, we went to Tulsa and saw the we then fostered and rehabbed Ernesto, I recorded and released a new single (shoutout to and ) and filmed a music video with my friends with We then went to Denver and loved it all. There were so many adventures in between and I couldn’t have done it without my beautiful wife she gives me the room and grace to be me which is all your can ever ask from your partner. I’m looking forward to the new year for once I’m not scared, I’m excited for what’s to come. Happy New Year -RL

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and having a listen to my new single Playing The Mayor. A little backstory on the song:
After the release of my last single Gemini, I felt that he had lost his way. “Alot of life struggles and personal tragedies had me curtailing my usual writing patterns and I began to dig into old demos to see if there was magic in those songs that didn’t fit anywhere.”
As I began to see the New York Mayoral race heat up I figured it was a good time to pull out Playing The Mayor. “This song has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with a failed relationship where one person is too busy keeping up appearances over continuing a partnership. This song is autobiographical, I was dating someone for over a year and they were always going to parties, wanting to be seen and over time it just wore me out in the relationship and after I broke up with them their reaction was of trying to erase we were ever together and blaming me that I was making a mistake.” In explaining my complaints to a friend after we broke up, I came up with the phrase on the spot and all the feelings just came spilling out. “The song itself is 7 years old and it’s funny to think how long ago that was but the song takes you right back.”
