a chilly march afternoon, but the sun came out for us and we strolled around delaware park having theeeeee most fun together!!! counting down the days to their beautiful lakeside wedding!!

my biggest tip for going into family sessions? give up any & alllllll expectations of your kiddos. that’s exactly what they are- KIDS! be present and trust your photographer to capture all of those quick in between moments, in my opinion those are so much more special than the perfect smiling-at-the-camera photos. I have had soooo many parents apologize to me during & after sessions for their kids not being on their best behavior and I want to shake them and say well duuhhhhhhh, what kids would cooperate with a camera in their face for over an hour???? NONE. so anyway, my takeaway, trust your photographer, relax, and love on your kids so hard. THAT is the key to getting photos you’ll cherish forever 🤍
