The Erie County Opioid Epidemic Task Force was established by Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz on January 19, 2016 to coordinate a response to the opioid crisis sweeping across Erie County. The Community Education & Prevention subcommittee is made up of local community experts from agencies and organizations including social service agencies, law enforcement, medical fields, mental health and addictions providers, prevention education, and members of victims' families.
