🐾 FOUND KITTENS OUTSIDE? HERE’S WHAT TO DO 🐾

Please don’t automatically assume kittens are abandoned. In many cases, their mother is nearby caring for them and may simply be out searching for food.

✅ FIRST, OBSERVE FROM A DISTANCE
If the kittens are:
• Warm and quiet
• Sleeping together
• Clean and not injured

…watch from a distance for several hours to see if mom returns.

🚨 STEP IN IMMEDIATELY IF THE KITTENS ARE:
• Cold or weak
• Crying nonstop
• Injured or bleeding
• Covered in fleas or bugs
• In immediate danger from traffic, weather, or predators

If intervention is needed:
• Move them somewhere safe nearby
• Keep them warm FIRST
• Do not feed cold kittens
• Try to determine approximate age if possible

💡 BEST OUTCOME:
If mom returns and kittens appear healthy, keeping them together is often safest until the kittens are old enough for weaning and placement.
