Saturday, May 2, 2026 – The following images were taken at the inaugural Roy P. Benavidez Legacy Luncheon in Austin, Texas. The photographs are not presented in any particular order; rather, they were captured to reflect the activities and memorable moments of the day and to share them with those who were unable to attend.
Green Beret Master Sergeant Roy P. Benavidez, call sign “Tango Mike Mike,” was awarded our nation’s highest military honor, the Congressional Medal of Honor. His courage, tenacity, and unwavering determination demonstrated on May 2, 1968, in Vietnam earned him recognition as a true American hero.
