Cooking my way through public library cookbooks.

This dish is Shakshuka alla Vodka from Jew-ish by Jake Cohen.

First of all, the book is so fantastic and unique that I bought a personal copy. I loved it so much that we have to have this in our library. The author does modern spins on the traditional Ashkenazi foods he grew up with and combines them with the Persian-Iraqi foods his husband grew up with, and the recipes look scrumptious.

This is truly, truly, truly one of the best things I’ve ever cooked and it is big comfort food energy. I can’t wait to cook it again when it is chilly outside and have it with challah bread. 🍅🍳🥖✡️🇮🇱

We will be revisiting this publication during football season for some Russian Nachos, Knish Pigs In A Blanket, and Nutella-Halva Rugalach.
