Storm potential update for this evening!
The morning update from the NOAA NWS Storm Prediction Center has included most of the Brazos Valley in a marginal risk for an isolated strong-to-severe storm. The main concern will be strong wind gusts, but a few pockets of hail in the strongest storms cannot be ruled out.
Our window for activity opens as early as 5-6pm and will linger through the evening hours. Far from a guarantee that we see severe weather, but a chance at least. Make sure to keep the KBTX First Alert Weather App close by this evening.
Welcome to June!
We'll be feeling the heat to start the week with highs in the 90s. Each afternoon/evening, we will watch for some isolated to scattered showers.
Tropical moisture will filter in by the end of the week, bulking up afternoon downpours through the weekend.
As rain chances take a step back, we will crank up the heat. Highs will sit around 90 with feels-like temps sitting closer to the triple digits. A summer-like weekend for sure!
We will keep an eye on a slug of tropical moisture moving into the Gulf that could fuel rain next week.
It’s a baseball-filled weekend accompanied by heat and humidity!! Water and SPF are a must, and find shade as needed. Keeping an eye on daily isolated rain chances, so keep your weather alerts on!
