Every great detective needs someone who keeps him grounded. Dr. John Watson isn't just Sherlock Holmes' companion—he's his closest friend, chronicler, and sometimes his conscience. One of our favorite moments early in the play reminds us what their friendship really means.

Watson tells us: "To others he was a hero of great fame, but to me, he was simply my best friend."
It's a beautiful reminder that beneath all the disguises, deductions, and danger, Moriarty is also a story about friendship.
