๐ŸŒ July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

Mental health affects everyone, but not everyone has equal access to care, support, or resources. Communities of color often face unique barriers such as stigma, limited access to culturally responsive care, and disparities in treatment.

This month, we honor the legacy of Bebe Moore Campbell, whose advocacy helped bring national attention to the mental health needs of underserved communities.

Together, we can:
๐Ÿ’š Encourage open conversations about mental health.
๐Ÿ’™ Reduce stigma through education and compassion.
๐Ÿ’š Promote access to quality, culturally responsive mental health care.
๐Ÿ’™ Support one another and remind everyone that seeking help is a sign of strength.

At NAMI Brazos Valley, we believe that mental health care should be accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all. No one should have to face a mental health journey alone.

If you or someone you know needs support, weโ€™re here to help.

๐Ÿ’™ Happy Fatherโ€™s Day from NAMI Brazos Valley ๐Ÿ’™

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, and father figures who provide strength, guidance, love, and support to their families and communities.

Fatherhood comes with many joys and challenges, and mental health is an important part of every dadโ€™s well-being. This Fatherโ€™s Day, we encourage fathers everywhere to prioritize their mental health, seek support when needed, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.

To all the dads who show up every day with courage, compassion, and resilienceโ€”thank you. Your presence makes a difference.

๐Ÿ’š You are valued.
๐Ÿ’š You are appreciated.
๐Ÿ’š You are not alone.

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day from all of us at NAMI Brazos Valley.
