OFF-SITE RECYCLING MAKES A DIFFERENCE

BIG THANKS to the Golden Isles Track Club for again offering water bottle recycling opportunities at the finish line of their annual July 4th 5K & 1-mile runs. In total, 6 gigantic bags of captured water bottles and 2 gigantic bags of film plastic (from around the water cases and ice bags) totaling 160 lbs were diverted from the landfill and will be recycled.

The film plastic will be recycled via the Publix drop off containers and the bottles via the home recycling program.

Almost 2,000 participants participated in the 5K while over 300 joined in the 1-mile fun run, showcasing how the KGIB FREE off-site recycle bin loaner program is perfect for any large or small event.
