Tuesday afternoon, HCFR responded to TGH Brooksville helipad to establish a landing zone for a stroke patient. Med-Trans - Florida was activated and responded to assist with transport. The patient was then taken to a comprehensive stroke center by air for treatment.

🚨 Brush Fire Alert 🚨
Hernando County Fire Rescue crews are on scene of a brush fire in the area of Glenchester Drive and Field. The fire is estimated at approximately 2–3 acres. Forestry resources are en route to assist with containment efforts.
Residents in the area may see smoke and emergency vehicles. Please use caution and avoid the area if possible to allow crews room to work safely.
