Every show begins with a conversation. This one began with a shared conviction that the climate crisis is also a human story, and that puppetry could tell it in a way nothing else could.
"You Have Arrived" was co-created by Neda Izadi and Jean Marie Keevins.
Neda is a Tehran-born puppetry artist with an MFA from the University of Connecticut and credits spanning more than 30 national and international productions. Her work blends visual art and theater to craft experiences that cross cultural and linguistic borders. She has lectured on puppetry and human rights, published in UNIMA Magazine, and brought her artistry to stages around the world.
Jean Marie is the Emmy-nominated founder of Little Shadow Productions, whose work has earned three UNIMA Citations of Excellence, a New York Times Critics' Pick, and productions supported by the Jim Henson Foundation. She is also the Artistic Producer of the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.
Together, they have built a show that is intimate and universal, quiet and urgent, and entirely unlike anything else on tour this year.

Meet Rim Mohammed, the newest member of the "You Have Arrived" family, and the artist who will be bringing the show's educational workshops to students across Canada this summer.
Rim has been working in the arts since 2002, using theatre as a tool for social transformation. She has led workshops in storytelling, shadow theatre, and interactive performance across Syria, Lebanon, Morocco, Germany, Canada, and more than a dozen other countries. She holds a Master's in Theatre and a DESS in Puppetry from UQAM and is currently a PhD student in Arts Studies and Practices.
The workshops Rim will lead are still being developed — and that development takes resources. For families with children ages 5 and up, and for college students and educators, these workshops extend the life of the show far beyond the stage.
"You Have Arrived" was designed to reach audiences from age 5 all the way through collegiate and academic settings. The workshops Rim will lead are an essential part of that mission, extending the conversations the show starts into classrooms and communities. Those workshops are still in development, and that work takes time and resources.
$25 covers materials for one student workshop session.
