With temperatures rising across New York City, itโs important to stay cool and protect yourself from heat-related illness.
Need a place to cool off? New York City has Cooling Centers located throughout all five boroughs.
Simply enter the location you are looking for, and nearby Cooling Centers will appear.

Cooling Centers include air-conditioned libraries, community centers, senior centers, and other public facilities where you can safely escape the heat. Some locations are also pet-friendly.
Please remember:
* Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
* Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
* Check on older adults, young children, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
* If you experience signs of heat illness such as dizziness, confusion, nausea, or trouble breathing, seek medical attention immediately.
