From contemporary to the classics, Rai to Reggae, Son to Bolero, Chacarera to Karnatik, Afro‐Dub to Latin Jazz, Sound Village draws inspiration from musical genres all over the world; the stuff you don't hear too often, that is the fabric of this show. Our one hour broadcast is a space designed to support new artists, welcome new sounds and cultivate new ideas. We take pride in promoting artistic development, exploring folklore and celebrating all sorts of global customs and traditions. We aim to educate and experiment with the message, as well as the medium, so you may hear segments that will test audio production theory, describe cultural artifacts and examine social norms.
