Join me in February under the Super New Moon in Pisces for a Spiritual Beading 101 course guided by Donette of , a spiritual store.

Let’s talk Spiritual heading history and Afro-spirituality in this intimate waist bead making workshop.

Porcia will open the session with a visual storytelling meditation focusing on the sacral area, followed by a hands-on spiritual beading course with Donette.

This workshop comes with a kit that includes all items for you to create your beadwork.

Some things to note:
1. We will have refreshments and libations to share.
2. This event is absolutely 420 friendly!
3. We’ll have a goodie bag full of some wonderful self care items to share.

In this hands-on class students will be guided through two types of meditation. First, Porcia will ground us through a breath-focused seated meditation. Then, we will learn a handful of embroidery stitches with Jessica for the second part of class, a creative working meditation. This active meditation can help deepen our experience and enjoyment of any creative work. Whether you're new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice this class is a great introduction to meditation and mindfulness practices for all levels of experience.

For the second part of class you will need either a class kit or your own work and materials. Class kits include all materials necessary to embroider meditative geometric patterns along with Jessica. You are also welcome to bring your own creative work. Perhaps you quilt, paint, stitch or collage? Feel free to bring anything portable that doesn't make too much noise or scent.

Class kits ($15) are available and include:
- Pre-printed pattern on organic cotton sateen fabric, approx. 10.5 x 14"
- Clover Gold Eye Embroidery Needles
- 4" Bamboo hoop
- DMC embroidery floss in orange, pink, and red
