We are so excited to be selected for this year Capital City Film Festival!!

Our US Premiere of MIWENE is only 5 days away in Austin, TX. We are so excited to finally share this story with US audiences.
Although it is a little bittersweet. For over a year we have tried so hard to get US visas for Anita and Obe to come celebrate their amazing achievement, their Waorani culture, and the work of their community, but unfortunately they were not granted that access. It’s another painful reminder of the ways our colonial legacy continues to restrict the voices of indigenous peoples.
Nevertheless, the story they tell deserves attention.
Thanks to for being so thoughtful in the programming of their festival and for advocating for the inclusion of indigenous voices like Anita and Obe’s.
