an venue with hundreds of people and I just watched through my lens. I took tons of behind the scenes shots but when the actual fight I was called upon to photograph took place.. I missed it. The fighter knocked out his opponent in 27 seconds and meanwhile I had not even put the camera up to my face yet. Everyone was roaring and I was still confused as to what was going on! After that I was asked to photograph events here and there and before you know it, I was booked almost every month. Two years later, I have photographed amateur and pro male and female fighters, I toured one of the largest Mixed Martial Arts organizations in our area and photographed most of their school locations. And now I am hired by some of the best promoters in the NY area to capture moments at their events. It's pretty insane. And I feel extremely grateful every day to be able to take what was once just a hobby and grow it into a full blown business. This is my journey. Come with me.
