THE ESPAÑA-STREB TRAPEZE ACADEMY is seeking a part-time trapeze instructor for the 2026 summer season (with the potential for extension) for adult and kid programming. $20-34 per hour, based on skill set and experience. Position begins July 7, 2026

🔴Must be local to NYC or able to commute. We do not transport, relocate, or provide housing.
🔴Lines, pulling across for catches, catchers, and board
🔴Previous experience pulling across for catches required
🔴Limited hours, but must have Saturday availability
🔴Ongoing open level classes (July & August)
🔴We are also looking for substitute instructors for general roster

What a night! Action Maverick Award recap:
💥We honored Anna Deavere Smith and Andrea Woodner
💥Laura Flanders announced that Ellen Salpeter is STREB’s new A. Woodner Director
💥Co-Artistic Director and Action Hero Cassandre Joseph went straight from thanking our sponsors on stage to performing MAVERICK SURF
💥District 33 Councilmember Lincoln Restler joined us to honor our Mavericks and express how their work has personally impacted his life 
💥Co-Chair Brooke Williams and Board Treasurer Craig Tooman spoke about the impact that STREB has had on their children’s lives
💥In a lively paddle raise, Co-Chair A.M. Homes joined Elizabeth as we raised funds for STREB programming and auctioned off tiny replicas of CHAOS MASS
💥We ended the evening in true STREB-fashion with a dance floor and popcorn bar
