We Free Strings

Joy and Daryl came to WeFreeStrings 1st gig in 2017 @ Evolving Series. Since then, has been the other consistent NYC presenter of our/my music/creative evolution and is an important platform for poets/writers.

When we're re-creating, re-claiming our creative, self-advocating becomes a process. Creative black women, women opening that chrysalis in the mature years, need other artists, people & presenters willing to take the journey with us.
& have been that for me.

I got on IG just now solely to spread word about this July 9 hit. But it's been over a month of extraordinary ops and a whole week immersed in art & communion. It'd be hubristic to ignore every fraught and fulfilling step folks took with me to get here.

not altogether sure where "here" is, but it feels right.

So " here" goes. Whether or not you caught WeFreeStrings 6/18 VF performance, feel free to ride one mo' again on July 9th. Hope you can make it!
