Ismail Ali, a shopworker from Bradford, vanished on May 29, 2020 — and for five years, police believed he was dead. This week, after 5 people were arrested on suspicion of his murder, he turned up at a police station “safe and well.” Authorities are investigating what really happened — including a possible money-laundering angle — while trying to piece together where Ali was all this time.
