Cowboy Technical Services Recording Rig was established in 1999 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn as the workshop style recording studio of Producer/Guitarist Eric "Roscoe" Ambel, Engineer/Producer Tim Hatfield. Our ‘69 Premier 20” kick usually gets 3 mics at Cowboy Technical Services . There’s a Telefunken M82 dynamic inside the drum and a vintage RCA 44 out front. We also use a Solomon LoFreq dynamic sub kick to get those super lows.

We've been using the Lauten Audio Snare Microphone for a while. We got their super flexible rim mounts too but realized we had to get a set of the new Tom Microphones for our '69 Premier drums. Great microphones.
