We are excited to announce our new Textile Editions Program! This is an immersive residency opportunity for local artists working across all mediums to collaborate with us in the production of an editioned run of textiles. The program aims to showcase the printed multiple as both a functional object and as a wearable piece of hand-printed artwork.

Our first resident collaborator is Heather Piper: an interdisciplinary artist, craftsperson and Local 829 member exploring elements of esotericism, color theory and playfulness. Her work ranges from meticulous acrylic paintings depicting a personal pantheon of powerful imagery, to colorful up-cycled garment experiments and costumes. Her background includes large-scale puppet experiences for Mardi Gras, children’s theater, and the Coney Island Mermaid Parade.
