We're living it up at Cape .May for a day.
I performed the original version of Bob Lind's "Elusive Butterfly" two nights in a row at different open mics. This one was at the Brooklyn Firefly.

Earth to Portugal: please stop eating the octopus, one of the world's most intelligent creatures. It's on nearly every restaurant menu. (Tony Ultimate just had a New Year's Eve swim in the Azores!)

Your Brooklyn folkie is far from home, in Porto, Portugal, where apart from lots of port wine we took in a concert of the local "fado" folk music, which typically features songs with a mournful spirit accompanied by instruments that include a Portugese guitar.
