BIG NEWS!!! We got a new console day at Harbor Studios. 🎛️
We just picked up an AMEK M2500 from a kind soul in Dumbo, and while it’s reportedly been fully recapped and is in solid shape, we’re still going to fully clean up it up.
That means checking every op-amp, every solder joint, every ribbon cable, every grounding point, and every edge connector. We’re cleaning, measuring, reseating, and documenting everything before it even goes near the patchbay.
We’ll be verifying PSU rails, noise floor, channel uniformity, and making sure the inline monitoring path and group architecture play perfectly with our hybrid Pro Tools setup. Basically: we’re making this thing sing before the first session hits it.

Thank you to everyone who reached out after hearing about the fires in Red Hook.
Fortunately, my building wasn’t directly affected beyond losing power, but sadly the fire started up again last night and spread to more units. It’s been a dramatic and heartbreaking scene.
