Thinking about LASIK? It's always good to see your Eye Doctor first to make sure you are all good to go and they can refer you to a surgeon of your choice or one that they recommend.

Dry eye is a common symptom that some patients face post LASIK surgery. Some patients may have dry eyes for a short while and some experience it for up to a year while the eye surface heals. For this reason, the ophthalmologists prescribe eye drops to all LASIK patients. It is to be noted that the people who wear contact lenses before going for a LASIK, usually have dry eyes. Therefore, they need to get their pre-existing dry eye problem treated. Once the problem is treated and the eye surface is good, then they can go for the LASIK procedure.
