FOUR PIECE SUIT QUINTET: SUNDAY AT MIDWAY CAFE JP, 3:30-5PM
Back in the last century, Four Piece Suit were regulars at the Midway, (onstage and off!). When a room has just the right combination of Budweiser, ducktape, and ni****ne coating the floor, so your sneakers adhere just a bit with every step, it develops a certain sound patina, and so theres a reason that bands play that room for decades.

The Midway was a favorite of the late great tenor sax man David Sholl, who's uncompromising genius started a band which has remained beyond category. Dave refused to cater to the music market, ensuring the eternally impecunious status of 4PS. See if you can think of a genre for 4PS, tomorrow afternoon at the Midway, or just lend a hand in catapulting us to solvency. Hey, howbout… GENRE: 4 PIECE QUINTETS…could be on to something…

As the Four Piece Suit Quintet, we will feature Mr.Justin Lopes (sorry girls, he's married) on the Hammond B3, in addition to our core corps of irregulars, Drummist Seth Pappas, Bassist David Becker, Guitarist yrs trly Milt Reder, and, sounding out the space for the aforementioned genius, the new genius on the block, Jeff Giacomelli on all the horns.

Music from 3:30-5 PM, followed by Wolfman Jack, into the evening, with even more of Mr.Lopes (sorry girls, etc).

Big fun! Barrence Whitfield in the studio to record some vocals for the upcoming Los Lobos album. Feels like Old Home Week...
