Inside University of Wisconsin-Stout, a group of students is building a competition robot under real deadlines. No shortcuts. No margin for error.

This is FIRST Robotics Team 10264 Storm. A second-year team made up of Menomonie High School students, backed by experienced mentors and a growing support system.

STS Technical Group is now part of that build.

Over the past week, our team produced nearly 40 parts that are being integrated directly into Storm’s competition robot. Not prototypes. Not concepts. Functional components that will be tested in competition this March and April.

That’s where this gets interesting.

Because this isn’t a donation. It’s contribution.

These students are designing, assembling, and refining a machine they will take into competition. Every part matters. Every decision shows up on the field.

We’ll be following Team Storm through build season and into competition, sharing what happens when real engineering meets real pressure.
