Bachelor’s Degrees that will get you a Direct Commission in AMEDD (Army Medical Department)

72A, Nuclear Medical Science Officer – Bachelor of Science in physics (any type), engineering (any type), radiobiology, or chemistry

72D, Environmental Science Officer – Bachelor of Science in environmental science, industrial hygiene, environmental health, public health, epidemiology, biology, or chemistry with a 3.0 GPA. Public health degrees require accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) (http://ceph.org/accredited/search).

72DN4, Environmental Engineer Officer – Bachelor of Science degrees in biological engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental health engineering, and industrial engineering with a 3.0 GPA. Engineering degrees require accreditation from the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) (http://main.abet.org/aps/accreditedprogramsearch.aspx).

72B, Entomologist – Bachelor of Science in Entomology with a medical entomology course and/or professional experience

66H, Med/Surg Nurse – Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 2+ years Med/Surg experience

66S, Critical Care Nurse – Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 1+ year Critical Care experience

66S Student, Critical Care Nurse Student Program – Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 2+ years Med/Surg experience

66G Student, OB/Gyn Nurse Student Experience – Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 1+ year Med/Surg experience

Medical School – Any degree with a 3.2 GPA and 500 MCAT score

Dental School – Any degree with a 3.2 GPA and 17 DAT score
