Ratings and reviews can help future recruits see what the recruiting process does not always show.
A coach, facility, or campus visit can look one way from the outside, but athlete feedback gives more context into the real experience.
Reviews can help athletes notice patterns, ask better questions, and understand what a program may actually feel like before committing.
One rating does not tell the full story, but every honest review adds to the bigger picture.

UCLA dual-sport athlete Karson Gordon is raising new questions about the NCAA transfer portal.
After football’s spring transfer portal window was eliminated, Gordon entered the portal through track and field while still pursuing football opportunities. Since track and field still has a spring transfer window, his situation has sparked debate about how transfer timing should apply to athletes who are legitimately connected to more than one sport.
This is not being framed as a rule violation. Instead, it highlights how complicated NCAA transfer rules have become in an era where athletes may be navigating multiple sports, eligibility timelines, NIL opportunities, roster decisions, and academic considerations at the same time.
2aDays spoke with Division I Lindenwood University Football offensive lineman Trenton VanBoening about why this situation could eventually lead to future NCAA discussions around dual-sport athletes and transfer timing.

High school NIL is becoming a bigger conversation as younger athletes build brands, sign sponsorship deals, and enter recruiting with endorsement opportunities already attached to their names.
A new NIL debate is raising questions about whether athletes under 18 may eventually need protected trust accounts, similar to financial safeguards used for child actors.
Right now, there is no national NIL trust requirement for minor athletes, but as more high school athletes earn NIL money, families may need to think more seriously about contracts, taxes, parental oversight, reporting obligations, and long-term financial protection.
NIL is creating real opportunities, but it also adds real responsibility to the conversation. Athletes should understand the business side before signing anything.
NIL is not just about getting paid. Learn what athletes and families should know on 2aDays: https://www.2adays.com/blog/could-high-school-athletes-need-nil-trust-funds/

Transferring out of a program does not always mean the athlete had a negative experience.
One Miami volleyball athlete shared that they transferred for personal reasons, but still genuinely appreciated their time with Coach Keno. In their review, they described him as knowledgeable, kind, invested in team bonding, and someone who helped develop them off the court.
They also pointed out that relationships matter. Talent is important, but athletes still have to build trust, show dedication, and understand the culture a coach has created.
This is exactly why 2aDays athlete reviews are so valuable. They can show nuance. They can show that the context matters. A transfer decision can be personal, complicated, and still come with respect for the coach and program.
