instruction in personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, social studies, the arts, music, technology, physical education and swimming. We emphasize and use authentic “hands on,” thought provoking, and thematic approaches. Our goal is for all of our students to meet or exceed the performance goals for their grade level. The Baldwin ELPA also provides safety net services and enrichment programs to enhance student learning. In addition to our teaching staff, we have a full-time nurse and a social worker. Each Wednesday is a professional half day that provides professional development and collaborative planning time for our lead teachers and Surround Care staff, in classroom teams, grade level teams and whole school groupings.
