In honor of this week being the start of the first session of camp at Blue Lake, I thought it would be fun to share this recently found gem of my cabin, the 3rd year of camp.
I was lucky and honored to go to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp when I got to go. For four years straight, I was graciously awarded a full scholarship to the camp for art. If it weren't for those scholarships and my parents helping and taking me, I wouldn't have had those fantastic experiences at Blue Lake that helped me grow and expand at a young age as an artist and designer. Being able to fully immerse myself in the arts for two weeks straight every summer in middle school was always a significant light for me, right next to traveling, camping, and off-roading with my family.
I sold my first piece there, too; it was a weaving with sticks on the top and bottom that curved oddly. I sewed in wooden cube beads that were dyed blue to give more dimension to the weaving. I do wish I snagged a picture of it before selling it.
💙💙 I'm the one on the left waving. I loved bunking with these wonderful ladies; the nights in the cabin were a blast that year, teaching each other about playing their string instruments, and I would teach them some basic drawing skills. Some of us even stuck together for the following year. 💙💙



Today I sat down and renewed all 9 of my Google Certifications. I love working in an industry where it keeps me on my toes. I'm working on two new certifications from Google, and I can't wait to get those accomplished.
