Today marks the 24th anniversary of one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in history. The 9/11 attacks made a huge impact on the course of history for our country. 20% of all Americans knew someone hurt or killed in the attack. In all, 2,977 people from 115 nations perished. Included in these numbers were 55 army personnel at the Pentagon, 60 NYPD and Port Authority officers and 343 FDNY firefighters. After the attacks, over 2,000 members of the armed forces have given their lives, in the subsequent wars, and many more have succumbed to post 9/11 illnesses. We hope you can still remember the sacrifice of those brave men and women who have responded and fought against terror.

Bremen Fire Rescue will be flow testing hydrants in the Southeastern quadrant of town starting today. Think, Sangamore, Laurel, Mangham, Georgia Ave. South, and areas in between.
