GOD IS GRACE

Who says God Is Grace Women's Ministry only cares about women? Last July, Doug Valkema, a carpenter from Michigan came with his wife Pamela to serve in Uganda with us.While there, Doug taught his carpentry skills to several pastors and others who came five days to learn how to make stalls. They made some great stalls and the men who learned were happy they had the chance to gain a skill. Pamela and Doug left behind some valued tools so these men could come and make stalls anytime they got an order.

Time passed and we realized funds were an issue. We were very thankful when in November and December we had donors give money for stalls through our Christmas Catalog! Yeah!! We knew who would make them.

This money was sent and this week the men who had learned met to begin making stalls. We wondered if they would remember how to make them without Doug around. They truly surprised us!! As you can see, the pastors were able to make four stalls for women in our newly sponsored class. It was thrilling too to hear that not only did they make these stalls, but they each earned income in making them!! Pastors work in tough areas where they must be bivocational to provide for their families. The pastors and other men who helped were very happy! Their hard work will also make four God Is Grace women quite joyful!! (We will post those photos later!)

Thank you Doug and Pamela for giving of yourselves last year and thank you donors who provided the funds to help us bless our sponsored women and allowed these men to make the stalls!

Anyone need a stall in Jinja??

YES!!! Sponsors are receiving their chosen women that they will sponsor from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. All sponsored women have gone through training at our center!!
