Chickens don’t lay eggs all year round unless they are forced to by adding artificial lights. As the days get shorter so does egg production. And it can stop all together. We love our girls and are giving them a much needed rest.

Here at Lazy M Coops we believe in the natural order. So when our hens stop laying for the winter we give them that break and buy our eggs from the store.

Thank you to all our customers and friends that are taking that break with us. As soon as our girls start laying again we will let you know.

On a very positive note. And not related to chickens. It’s Girl Scout cookie season. And here a Lazy M Coops we have to farm hands that also moonlight as Cookie Dealers. We can handle all your cookie needs. And in 2 short weeks Girl Scout everywhere will be out in force.
