Dear me,
I know that there are times you don’t like the person you see in the mirror, but those bags under your eyes mean that you’ve had late nights making memories with your favorite people. I know that you hate that cellulite on your legs.. but remember that those same legs have carried you through the best and the worst times. Those imperfections on your skin means you’ve had years of laughter turning into tears, and you wouldn’t take that back, would you?

Don’t beat yourself up for not going to the gym every day. Be gentle with yourself for even getting up and going in the first place. The numbers on the scale do not reflect your worth, and the money in your bank account does not make you rich or poor. When you laugh so hard that your stomach hurts, that is when you are the wealthiest person in the world.

On the long days, remember that you get to come home to people that adore you. You are so lucky to have people that love you at your worst. The worst days only last 24 hours- so do your best to make them count.

You are your dogs favorite person even when you aren’t your own favorite person. She won’t be here forever, so go for rides and walks, and let her eat all the people food she wants (even if she swallows it whole).

Don’t forget to be selfish while you can. Buy the clothes you want, go on adventures and trips around the world. One day you won’t be able to put yourself first, so take advantage of this life while you can. You can always make more money, but you will never be 24 again making these memories.
