What do dads do at the hospital? According to their kids… they give shots all day, keep everyone safe, make sure the hospital never runs out of anything, and somehow know how to fix people while they're sleeping. 💪

For kids, the warmer months can be more dangerous. Children are more prone to dehydration, severe sunburns and accidents, resulting in an increase in pediatric emergency room visits nationwide.

Dr. Aziz Farhat—the Pediatrics Medical Director for MountainStar Children’s Services who works at Timpanogos Regional Hospital—joined Kelly Chapman & Dan Evans on Good Day Utah to talk about how we can prepare our kids to handle certain types of emergencies. Bottom line? It's important to have a conversation.

General Rules in an Emergency:
🔵 Stay calm so you can think clearly.
🔵 Get help as quickly as you can.
🔵 If possible, send someone for help.
🔵 Give first aid, but only if you know how.
🔵 Reassure the person that help is on the way.
