Please join BSI on Friday for a career talk with Dr. Angela Medina-García of the EBIO department. Dr. Medina-García is a postdoctoral researcher in the Safran lab of EBIO, and she’ll talk a bit about the path that took her to where she is today, as well as answer any questions you have about graduate school, career options for PhD graduates, and academia.

Applications for the BSI Scholars in STEM Undergraduate Research Summer 2019 program are now available!

Full-time undergraduate students conducting independent research in STEM labs who have not previously received funding through BSI (the Biological Sciences Initiative) are eligible to apply for grants of $2500 to support their research. Students must have the support of a lab to complete an application, and the application requires the mentor (faculty or postdoctoral researcher) to write a section of the application. The student portion of the application is due Monday, March 18 at 5pm, and the mentor portion is due Friday, March 22 at 5pm.
