Fifty years ago, a few school buses and a radical idea changed everything.

The idea? That there's always a better way than "throw it away." What started as a volunteer effort became a movement—and that movement became Eco-Cycle, one of America's most respected nonprofit Zero Waste organizations.

None of it happened without community. So let's celebrate together!

Calling all Denver-based food service providers, and those who frequent them!

Denver is excited to launch a new support system for businesses looking to reduce in-house waste from disposable items and add composting for staff to their operations.

Eligible food service providers can now receive up to $1,000 in reusable serviceware to make the switch from disposables to reusables. They can also apply for up to $3,600 worth of composting services for up to one year to redirect food waste from landfills.

Because gastronomy and sustainability don’t need to be at odds in Cow Town. In fact, they go hand in hand.
