age eight. As a teenager he lived in Korea for two years, where he developed a taste for kimchi and other stinky foods. From ages fourteen to twentyfive he worked Summers as a commercial fisherman, and was always the boat cook. While working as a neuroscientist he met Bianca at the La Jolla California farmer's market where she ran an organic fruit stand. The need to preserve the Autumn harvest through Colorado's Winters have been a great inspiration for this business, and most of these recipes come from Bianca's experiments and overflowing Winter pantry. They are assisted by their daughter Tesla Rae, who started her first garden at age three, and will soon be eight years old.
