One Season Following Another
The last flotilla of clouds from the far-flung arm of a Pacific hurricane lap against the high elevation ridges and peaks of the northwest San Juan Mountains from the vantage of the Dallas Divide near Ridgway, Colorado. The summit of Mount Sneffels (14,153 ft; 4,314 m) rises into the dying light to bask in the longest rays, its craggy face shaped and wizened by tens of thousands of winters.
