Since 1977 CPWD has been the center of a network of resources, information and services to assist people with disabilities to conquer the barriers, the isolation and the dependency. We encourage you to work with us to build this new accessible welcoming community, learn from neighbors or teach fellow citizens that are struggling for their independence.

The overlap between LGBTQ+ and disability identities is not a footnote. 36% of LGBTQ+ adults report having a disability. And both movements share the same demand: that every body, every life, belongs fully in public life.

From Stonewall to the Capitol Crawl, these are communities that have fought for self-determination, redesigned the world for everyone in the process, and built power through solidarity.

This summer, we are celebrating what happens when both movements build together.
