Gretchen Troop is a soul~funk~blues~jazz singer. She started her singing career in New York City, then found her niche in San Francisco where she played all original soul~funk music in the band Sideways. She is a unique and gifted singer that always puts it all on the table with a voice that is soulful, rich and emotional. Since she moved to Colorado in 2003 she has led two bands, The Shamans, and
I forgot to upload this, from back in February. My good friend Jess got laryngitis right before Mojomama's record release party and Paul asked if I could sit in for a few songs. Here's a bit of "I Wish". So happy when I get to play with a great bunch of musicians!

Hey everybody! I was so blessed to sit-in for two nights last week with some amazing musicians. 12/721 I got to play at the fundraiser for Jodie Woodward (bass) & Randall Dubis (guitar) heading to the International Blues Competition in February. It was so much fun to see people I haven't seen in years!
Then Wednesday night I opened up the Wednesday night jam at The Rusty Bucket in Denver as the guest artist.
I made a video of one of my favorite tunes, "Come Together" from that night.
Love music so much! It felt fantastic to get back out there and sing and see everybody dancing and smiling.
