Ammonite fossil pendant in antiqued copper. I can’t get enough of the opalized back of this fossil! 😍 Fossil opalization occurs when water containing silica seeps into the cavity of bones, shells, and other organic matter, then solidifying over a very, very long time. Here’s a custom pendant I just finished up! The client made this fire agate set in wood a while ago. It’s a pear shaped cabochon with a hole drilled in it.
