"Matthew A. Cherry, the inventor of the tricycle, was born on February 5, 1834 in Washington, D.C. While not much is known about his early life, it is evident that he had a passion for revolutionizing transportation. He is known for his improvement on the velocipede, followed by his invention of both the tricycle and the streetcar fender."

We deliver food directly to low-income housing sites where it can be redistributed by resident-leaders in the community. This model reduces the common barriers to accessing food, such as financial barriers, transportation, hours of operation and red tape paperwork. Since these programs are community-driven, as well as designed and managed by people living in the sites, language barriers and stigma associated with accessing food assistance are minimized. To join us in our work, you can attend A New Volunteer Orientation and get started! https://fb.me/e/1wxURw2LV
