The CU Integrated Teaching and Learning Pre-College Engineering team is hosting a FREE Kite Flying Fair on April 23 from 10-3 at the University of Colorado Boulder (Business Field next to ITLL, 1045 Regent Dr., Boulder, CO).

This highschool activity allows students to analyze astronomical images in order to calculate the interstellar distance to a star cluster located across the Milky Way from our own Solar System. Using Python code that runs in a Jupyter Notebook, students determine the brightness of stars!
